Youth Program News<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our youth membership program is a unique opportunity for Verona residents aged 16 to 18 to gain hands-on experience in emergency medical services (EMS). This comprehensive and educational program is designed to provide students with invaluable healthcare experience while also fostering essential life skills. Through monthly drills and real-world EMS involvement, our youth members learn critical, life-saving techniques that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Beyond medical skills, participants develop crucial soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and critical thinking \u2014 all of which are vital in both healthcare and everyday life.<\/div>\n

Currently, our program boasts about 35 active students, with an additional 10 on student leave who return each year because of the meaningful experiences they’ve had on the ambulance. This program offers an exceptional way for young people to engage with their community, gain firsthand healthcare exposure, and make a lasting impact. We can’t continue to offer this incredible opportunity without your support. Your donation helps us provide the resources, training, and equipment necessary to ensure our youth members are prepared to respond confidently in times of crisis. Who We Are<\/strong>
The Verona Rescue Squad is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the Township of Verona. \u00a0We are supported by voluntary donations from the residents and businesses of Verona as well as from the people we serve. \u00a0Care is provided by trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). \u00a0We respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. \u00a0Our services are provided free of charge.<\/p>\n

Mission Statement<\/strong>
The mission of the Verona Rescue Squad is to maintain an ambulance and rescue service free of charge to the citizens and residents of the Township of Verona and to cooperate with the police department, fire department, other town agencies and neighboring squads.<\/p>\n

Membership<\/strong>
All persons 16 years of age and older are eligible to apply. See the “Join Us<\/a>” page for more information and forms.<\/p>\n
