The Verona Rescue Squad, with Community Blood Services, will hold a Blood and Marrow Drive in support of Veronica Depauli.  The event will be on Wed<\/div>\n

nesday, June 13th from 3pm to 7pm at the Verona Community Center.  Please note that the event was originally scheduled for May 19th.<\/p>\n

Veronica is a smart, loving, and determined 7 year old who is the oldest of 2 children.  She lives in West Orange.  She has a rare disease, Autosomal Dominant Osteopetrosis Type 2, and needs a bone marrow transplant.  She has not found a match in the national database.  Several events have been held locally to look for a match.<\/div>\n

Participants may choose to donate blood, to register with the Marrow Drive, or both.  All blood donors will receive free health screenings including cholesterol, blood pressure, iron, pulse and blood type.  Donors must weigh at least 110 lbs.  Eat before donating and bring your ID.  Walk-ins welcome.<\/div>\n
