Youth Program News

Our youth membership program is a unique opportunity for Verona residents aged 16 to 18 to gain hands-on experience in emergency medical services (EMS). This comprehensive and educational program is designed to provide students with invaluable healthcare experience while also fostering essential life skills. Through monthly drills and real-world EMS involvement, our youth members learn critical, life-saving techniques that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Beyond medical skills, participants develop crucial soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and critical thinking — all of which are vital in both healthcare and everyday life.

Currently, our program boasts about 35 active students, with an additional 10 on student leave who return each year because of the meaningful experiences they’ve had on the ambulance. This program offers an exceptional way for young people to engage with their community, gain firsthand healthcare exposure, and make a lasting impact. We can’t continue to offer this incredible opportunity without your support. Your donation helps us provide the resources, training, and equipment necessary to ensure our youth members are prepared to respond confidently in times of crisis. Please consider contributing to help us empower the next generation of healthcare providers and community leaders
