The Verona Rescue Squad will be holding a Blood Drive 7/27/2021 at the Verona Community Center from 4pm to 8pm at the Verona Community Center. We had attempted to hold a drive last July, but Covid restrictions made that impossible. Our last actual blood drive was on January 3, 2020 – when there was just starting to be some talk about a virus overseas – that seems like a lifetime ago.

During the pandemic, I have donated 3 times at the permanent Vitalant facility in Parsippany. Donating during these times is not very different from a donation during normal times, except that your temperature gets checked, you wear a mask, maintain distance and so on.

We thank the Verona Community Center for providing the venue and hope that this is one small step on the road back to normalcy.
